As your studies draw to a close or as a recent graduate, going abroad becomes an ideal option for dedicating time to personal and professional development. This is particularly true when job opportunities in Italy do not meet your expectations or are scarce due to the economic situation.
Nowadays, companies expect graduates to be fluent in at least one foreign language. The globalisation of almost all economic sectors, with frequent links abroad, means that your first job – and, even more so, your professional career – depends on your language skills. A job application is further strengthened by a valuable period spent abroad.
Through a long-term work placement in a foreign company, applying one’s training in a real-world context, you can establish contacts for a permanent job abroad or enhance your CV with a view to applying for roles in Italy.
Then there are the job opportunities. It depends on where and what you’re looking for: in France, Germany or another EU country where companies can hire staff without having to comply with immigration rules, or in the UK, the US or Australia, where strict regulations do not make the job search any easier; a first job as a recent graduate, a role to continue a career started in Italy, or a temporary position to improve your language skills and international experience.
During the conference, the speaker, Bernd Faas, will outline useful ways to assess the feasibility of your project, providing the right information and advice.
Aimed at: students, recent graduates, and graduates with experience
