Healthy Communities
Year: 01/12/2023 – 31/05/2026
Programme: Erasmus+
Description of the project
Training to adults to improve the level of knowledge of health issues at the local community.
The Healthy Communities project aims to develop a concept for training adults to improve the level of knowledge of health issues at the local level. It is intended to create a place for both face-to-face and virtual learning on these issues to train citizens of bodies active in the area, so that they subsequently act as 'mentors' for the neighbourhood, supporting residents in the area of health.
Furthermore, the project intends to give special attention to the training needs of certain 'vulnerable' groups, such as children caring for elderly parents, women returning to work after maternity leave, or people with a migration background.
Among the main results of the Healthy Communities project are:
- Pilot models for health education
- Advanced training course for pilots on health education
- Educational measures in the district with the health pilots
- Capacity building of local health education providers.
