What is digital information literacy?
"Digital Information Literacy" is a set of skills through which individuals can access, evaluate and use digital information independently, correctly and effectively.
Today, these types of skills have become essential both in the world of work and in the field of education. In particular, students must acquire these skills to be able to carry out tasks, do research, write and, subsequently, improve their employability and chances of success when entering the job market. Consequently, and at the same time, teachers should develop competences that enable them to transfer this knowledge and skills to students.
What's in the app?
The application provides learning modules aimed at improving students' and teachers' digital information literacy skills. The contents are divided into the following chapters:
- Sources of information
- Information access tools
- Search and evaluation of information
- Ethical use of information
- Digital tools and techniques for using, sharing and presenting information
At the end of each module, you will find a short quiz to test your new knowledge acquired!
The application is free and can be downloaded by anyone. It is accessible via Android or via browser with any device. The application is available in the following languages: Italian, English, Bulgarian, French, Turkish. Explore all modules!
