Year: 01/11/2024 – 30/10/2027
Programme: Erasmus+ – Cooperation Partnerships in Vocational Education
Project description
AI and Sustainable Training: Tools and Modules for VET Teachers and Students
Project Description
The project integrates training, artificial intelligence tools, and practical applications into a single virtual environment, providing innovative support for instructors and teachers. Five learning modules will be developed for educators on AI and environmental sustainability, along with 14 modules dedicated to the use of specific AI tools for vocational education and training (VET).
The initiative focuses on climate protection in the professional sector of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), creating a transferable model for other professions. It addresses the growing interest in AI while tackling challenges related to its application and GDPR compliance.
Main Objectives
- Reduce the workload of trainers and educators by facilitating lesson preparation, follow-up, and assessment.
- Prepare teachers for AI integration in VET by developing flexible interfaces for AI systems and tools.
- Create "learning capsules" on climate change and energy efficiency in heating system construction.
- Transfer the project and its results to other institutions and EU countries.
Expected Results
- Secure and adaptable AI tools for vocational training.
- Support for teachers in lesson planning, delivery, and assessment.
- Reduction of teachers' workload through AI-based solutions.
- Development of educational modules on AI and environmental sustainability.
- Availability of open-source tools for flexible and scalable implementation.
Benefits
The project combines training programs, teaching materials, and reliable AI tools to enhance the teaching and learning experience. Not only educational institutions but also businesses will be able to leverage this platform for training and professional development, thanks to an open-source and freely licensed infrastructure that promotes AI adoption in vocational education across Europe.
