Description of the project

The more virtual students live, the more important the real becomes. This applies in particular to the development of personal skills and potential, as a basis for future educational, professional and life paths.
The more virtual students live, the more important the real becomes. This applies in particular to the development of personal skills and potential, as a basis for future educational, professional and life paths. Offering students a real insight into dynamic working and professional worlds is crucial for this.

In too many areas of school education, this is not sufficiently possible. We want to develop innovative offers for this and make them effective with "Reality Check", starting from the establishment of regional networks, as this can only succeed in the cooperation of schools, companies, business and stakeholders.

The integration of these actors into regional networks is a core element of the project, with a specific focus on students with special challenges.

The results are innovative ways to open up the real working and professional world to students where this was previously not possible.

In regional networks , conditions for success for communication-cooperation-coordination of actors from schools, companies and the region are recognized and described.

The decisive result is the benefit for pupils on their individual educational and training path. Handbook and trainings support teachers and trainers to accompany this path.

Results:

Networks for Reality Checks: creation of 4 local/regional networks for cooperation between schools and the world of work. The aim is to promote mutual understanding between school and the world of work and to strengthen the dialogue between the actors.

Development, testing and evaluation of Reality Checks: develop, test and evaluate new, contemporary practical experiences in/with the real working world for students in the course of their orientation for education and work. We call these methods "RealityChecks" and they should help students to find new motivation and new perspectives for their future education, training and career paths.

Manual and Toolbox Reality Checks: A manual to create more awareness of the possibilities of cooperation between school and the world of work. We want to create a more positive attitude towards this topic among teachers as well as entrepreneurs. In the longer term, we believe this will help students make more reflective career choices.

Modular training concept Reality Check: a training concept that provides the framework for this and meets a contemporary, high-quality standard: contemporary learning settings, training methods, applied tools are developed according to the target group. The training concept is developed accordingly from content, duration and learning objectives for the target groups, attractive and designed modularly to facilitate access to participation.
