Project description

The aim of the Erasmus + project is to develop professional and social skills in the framework of the internationalization of professions and markets.

 

An inadequate adaptation of skills to the current and future needs of companies causes distortions on the labor market and leads to unnecessary waiting times at the eraly stages of professional career even in times of a shortage of skilled workers limiting meanwhile the employment rate.

Knowledge of foreign languages ​​is mandatory today, but it is no longer enough to meet the requirements of the global labor market. The imparting of specialist knowledge to young people is intended to increase their willingness to be mobile in a culturally diverse job market and in a cross-border education system. At the same time, the globalization process requires extensive individual skills in order to successfully perform its tasks in the workplace in an increasingly multicultural team.

The target group is especially students and trainees at vocational schools in Poland, Germany and Italy. Another target group are teachers and trainers in vocational training.

The Erasmus + project "MIKO" is developing a textbook with teaching materials for formal and non-formal education of teachers, trainers and learners. Today's curricula are largely based on a national perspective and are therefore increasingly in conflict with the actual market conditions and the competence requirements. The textbook creates a universal tool that can be adapted to different vocational training contexts so that the desire to have international experiences is improved during and after training.

The result of the Erasmus + project is an handbook in four languages ​​(English, German, Italian and Polish) for teaching international specialist skills with 36 educational modules that complement the curricula with the skills required today and bring the training closer to the conditions of an international economy. The manual is supplemented by a further training course with 12 modules for teachers and trainers in order to acquire the necessary knowledge about the challenges of their own profession in the context of globalization, digitalization, intercultural group coaching and demographic change.

The learning materials for learners and teachers are tested intensively with the target groups in the course of two sperimentation phases.

When developing modules, the project consortium works closely with companies, social partners and the institutions responsible for vocational training at national level. Cross-sector cooperation networks support the implementation of the project goals and ensure their sustainability. The cooperation of educational institutions from 3 countries ensures that the learning model can also be transferred to other countries.
